The Coral City collection is made and meant to bring awareness to imperiled coral reefs worldwide, with the intention that they can be restored with help from collaborative coral-friendly organizations. This collection is inspired by and designed with the photography of CORAL MORPHOLOGIC, shot in their studio / lab in Miami, Florida, where they grow and research coral. As usual, our swimwear is made with certified organic hemp and cotton natural fibers. Both plant-based and vegan-friendly. Each swimsuit purchased will plant one coral on the reef in Bali with the non-profit organization OCEAN GARDENER.
Hemp fabric is one of the most sustainable materials in the fashion industry. Growing hemp wastes less water than linen or cotton and doesn't use harmful pesticides that pollute our environment. It also reduces CO2.
We make everything locally in small batches to make sure we don't have a negative impact on the environment. Some styles are made per order. We save as much of our scrap fabric as possible, so that we can create new designs based on what we have in stock. Most of the styles are hand cut and hand dyed with low impact dyes and recycled water prints.
We use electric transportation in our daily operations.
